Welcome to the Church of Sweden in Sollentuna and the parish of Sollentuna’s homepage. The borders of the parish are identical with those of the municipality, and we are represented at several places all round Sollentuna. Our parish’s mission is to make God plain to the world. This we do in many ways. We offer a wide variety of activities for everyone living in or visiting Sollentuna. Divine service is held several times a week in our four churches. We christen, confirm, marry and bury people. We have choirs, special programmes for children and young people, retreats, get-togethers, home visits, dialogue groups, care groups for people who have lost a relative or loved one, emergency teams, counselling and conversation opportunities, and much more besides.
With its 59,000 or so inhabitants, of whom about 71% are Church members, our parish is one the largest in Sweden. We have four churches, three chapels and a crematorium. We have a staff of over 100 employees and approximately as many elected representatives. The latter are appointed in elections held every four years. Our activities are financed by membership fees.
Although we cannot offer any activities in your language, you are always welcome to come along to divine service or take part in our other activities.
